El Porton Mexican Restaurant in Little Rock

Dull & musty. Carpet is old & visibly unclean. Food was average at best, enchiladas ( cheese ) smothered with pork was a measly serving that tasted old. Service was fast but impersonal, ticket was placed on our table as soon as we finished our plate and with no request for dessert or anything additional. Will not return.

We had a Groupon discount for this place so gave it a try.I enjoyed my food, the margarita was good.The decor was a bit worn looking. We were sat right near the entrance so has people coming past us the entire time which I didn't care for.The service was satisfactory, but nothing special. It was a nice meal out.

Delicious! Had the steak sopes for first time! Fantastic and the sauce on side is a must. As always excellent service and clean establishment!And the El Porton Dip is a favorite!

It was good. The service was great and the mojito was delicious. I went with a party of 10 and I can say that it is a great family atmosphere and delicious food

Oh my goodness here, the food is delicious and generous. My picky eater enjoyed the grilled chicken and rice!!! I can’t believe that the food on the kids’ menu is just as tasty as the adults’ food. This was a huge bonus for us and we will definitely be back because of this considerate menu. Other places fall short in preparing a delicious food choices for kids. The large cheese dip is always the way to go if you plan to cheat on your diet. After scraping the cheese bowl and cleaning our plates, we realize we’ve got to come back!!! Oh the relaxed atmosphere and attentive service are always top notch. We haven’t been here in a while and they’ve updated. I loved it way back when and I love it now. (I kinda miss certain elements: like the bull...) Times change & so I understand why it had to go. :)

Really enjoyed my food and service each time I went. Just had dinner there tonight and our meal came out before my kids, not even that long of a wait, and since we had to wait they gave us free dessert. We didn't even complain. Great staff.

Both the shrimp and chicken taco were delicious. Wish they had non spicy pico de gallo dipping sauce...

Absolutely excellent service. Server was polite and attentive without, without coming across as being overbearing. Perfectly reasonable turnaround from placing order to receiving food. And the good was awesome. I ordered the seafood burrito. It was one of the best dishes I've had. Amazing quality on the entree, and even on the queso appetizer. I would definitely recommend this place, and I'll certainly be back to visit.

Very fast and good place. The food is very good a a menu for everyone. The food is very angolozised for the Arkansas palate. So if you are looking for Texmex or authentic Mexican, you will find it lacking. I am from New Mexico and Texas and I traveled all over Mexican on business for years, so I know Mexican food, so if you like standard U.S. Mexican this about as good as it gets in Little Rock and by no way a knock on this place. I eat here all the time.

As a first-time visitor, I was disappointed. Our server was not friendly and made us feel rushed and unwelcome. I don’t recall feeling so unwelcome in any restaurant as I did at the West Little Rock location. Plus, we were there around 3:00 P.M. and it wasn't busy, so I really expected a better experience. The food was okay but nothing to brag about.- The steak quesadilla was bland.- The shrimp quesadilla was delicious.- Guacamole Mexicano was delicious, but our server seemed disgruntled about making it for us. Just horrible service.- Menu says Modelo Especial is on draft, but our server said only bottles for some reason. And he forgot my second beer until I reminded him. - As we left, the host did not say "Thank you and come again" or anything else for that matter. - One positive, the salt and pepper shakers were clean which is highly unusual in any Little Rock restaurant, so kudos for that.I will never come back here again! Because of the server, our entire experience was unpleasant.

Good food.Price a little high.Portions could be a little bigger of the main item you order. A little less of the side dishes or more choices.Not my favorite Mexican style food restaurant in the LR area. But it is good and worth a visit.

Good food and service. Meal came quickly after ordering. Was there 7:00pm on a Friday and had to wait 5 minutes. Manager saw us standing and found us a place to sit while waiting. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was that my burrito was warm and not hot.

I have been going to this restaurant since the day it opened. It is some of the best Mexican food o have ever had in the US. Great family atmosphere, long term staff that remember you by face. I'll continue to come back to this place every time I stop back in town.

Always good food at a fair price and the staff is always very friendly. Love their fruit punch and they have great salsa I normally eat in end restaurant but get it to go sometimes and it's just as good. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants

Best taste of Mexico food around Little Rock. Service is okay. Didn't fill up my drink very well while not many people in there.

This place steals from you. Ordered a pitcher and when they brought the bill they said we ordered top shelf. We did not. When the manager came over, a lady, she quickly swiped our card and threatened to call the cops. I have never seen more crooked and worse service in my entire life. Will never return here. Please be warned!

Your average Mexican joint. They're pretty much all the same. Nothing bad to say though.

Weirdest chili relleno I've ever eaten,it was bad and the cheese sauce was horrible. Drove 5 minutes had to stop at best buys to use the bathroom

I’d say 3 is fair. It’s a typical Arkansas Mexican place. Dingy environment. Good sopas. Good tortilla soup. Some of the other items lack a lot of flavor and or creativity. Good lunch spot.

I love their chicken tortilla soup. It comes with a little salsa and chips. The owner is usually on the premise and he is really helpful.

The best Mexican restaurant in Little Rock Arkansas, in my opinion. The chicken and fish tacos are very good. The staff is friendly + I’ve never had a bad experience here. The prices are reasonable and I’ve never had to wait long to be seated. Fast and friendly service for sure. Enjoy!

They didn’t have much of a menu and they make their mojitos with Bacardi. If you are a mojito fan just go somewhere else.

If you are hungry just go and eat😋 awesome place to eat . Fast service and friendly employees. When you are going weekend have to make reservations.They super busy. Good atmosphere and fresh food . And clean toilets too 👏👏

Who doesn't love giant plates of nachos and margaritas? I sure do. Which is why I love El Porton, the serving staff are attentive and they always make me and my family feel at home.Our meal was delicious, the fajita nachos are absolutely massive, and it was even better paired with a top shelf frozen margarita.Their guacamole is the best in town bar none. The chips and salsa have to be mentioned as well, because I usually am almost full before my meal is even out!Our glasses never stayed empty for long. And I'd highly recommend stopping by and giving this place your business.

Their food is consistently good. The quality never varies. I always know I will have good food and great service.
